Manitowoc Awards
The Manitowoc Chapter of Women in Management, Inc (WIMI) is seeking applicants for their annual $500 scholarship and annual mentor award!
- Available for a female student aspiring to a post-secondary professional, managerial, or entrepreneurial career.
- Applicants must have completed at least their first year of college with the intention of obtaining a degree.
- Preference will be given to applicants attending college in Manitowoc County, but those who reside in Manitowoc County, or who have graduated from a Manitowoc County High School will also be considered.
- Financial need, academic performance, community and extracurricular involvement will be considered.
- The top two or three applicants may be asked to participate in an interview to determine the scholarship winner
2011 Mentor Award

Our 2011 Woman Mentor Award was given to Rodell Skarda of Americollect, who was nominated by WIMI member Crystal Casavant. Rodell is the Support Team Leader and Crystal has worked with and been inspired by her for about ten years. Crystal describes Rodell as being dedicated to her children and husband, as well as her work family. "She sets a good example for her children and her teammates by managing her time and talents in a way that benefits her personally and professionally," Crystal explains.
Application and nomination forms for Women In Management, Inc.'s (WIMI) Manitowoc Chapter "Woman Mentor Award and College Scholarship" are now available. Applications for both awards are due April 2012, with award presentations taking place at the May 2012 WIMI meeting. The Woman Mentor Award (formerly Woman Manager of the Year) will recognize a professional woman who has made significant contributions to her company, employees, and community.
2011 Scholarship Winner

The 2011 Women In Management - Manitowoc Chapter scholarship was recently awarded to Amber Casebeer. She is a Two Rivers High School graduate and is currently a student at UW-Manitowoc. She's earned a 3.8 GPA while participating in campus activities such as Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, intercollegiate tennis, and serving as a student ambassador. She's also active in serving the community as a member of the Two Rivers Optimist Club and at her church. Amber is considering a career in veterinary science or psychology. It's with great pleasure that the WIMI-Manitowoc Chapter presents the 2011 scholarship to Amber.
